Littlest Bar opens.

It is located at 47 Province Street. The bar’s name reflects the fact that it is only 22 feet long, 16 feet wide, and contains only 38 seats. A memorial to a visit by Nobel Prize winning poet Seamus Heaney is inscribed in the w.c. The bar closes on September 23, 2006, to make way for construction of a new building on the site. It reopens soon after at 102 Broad Street, then closes for good in 2016. (ca.)
